This competition is run by Brooks Sports Ltd of Unit 6, Chanctonfold, Horsham Road, Steyning, West Sussex, BN44 3HP (“Brooks”).
a. Entrants must be legal residents of the UK aged at least 18.
b. The competition is not open to any employees or affiliates of Brooks Sports Ltd or stockists of Brooks products, their families or agents or any other person professionally connected with the Competition.
2. Entry period
The entry period starts at 3pm on [Wednesday 19th August 2015] and closes at 11.59pm on [Sunday 23rd August 2015].
3. How to enter
a. The competition can be entered by sharing your favourite running memory either on Twitter by using the @brooksrunning handle or by writing on the wall of the Brooks Running Facebook page.
b. Only one entry is permitted per person. No entries on behalf of someone else are allowed.
c. Entry implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
d. On determination by Brooks in its sole discretion, entries must: be original content and not include any third party input; not contain any names, likenesses or other identifying elements of any living person other than the entrant; not include trade marks, logos, or copyright protected material which belongs to third parties other than Brooks; not have been entered into any other competition; not defame, misrepresent, or contain disparaging remarks which could adversely affect the name, reputation or goodwill of Brooks; not contain pornographic or sexual content, hateful or discriminatory content of any kind (including racism, sexism, etc.); not contain content which promotes violence or harm or any other offensive, obscene or inappropriate content; not include threats or anything that may intimidate, harass, bully or invade the privacy of any person.
e. Brooks reserves the right to remove any content submitted if it suspects any breach of these terms and conditions or if it receives any complaint from a third party relating to such content.
f. By entering the competition, entrants grant Brooks an exclusive, sub-licensable worldwide licence in all copyright and other intellectual property in or arising out of their entry to the competition, for the full duration of such rights and to use for any purpose required by Brooks in its sole discretion.
g. Entrants represent and warrant that they have all rights necessary to grant rights to Brooks, and that the content of their entry to the competition, and any use of such content by or on behalf of Brooks, comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations and do not infringe or otherwise violate the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
4. The prizes
a. There are five prize packages up for grabs. Each prize package consists of:
– One entry to the Vitality Oxford Half Marathon 2015 currently scheduled to take place on Sunday 11 October 2015 (the “Event”);
– One pair of Brooks shoes (Ghost 8, Ravenna 6 or GTS 15);
– One pair of Brooks shorts or capri; and
– One Brooks t-shirt.
b. No travel costs will be provided. The five winning entrants will be responsible for arranging and paying for any transport or other costs associated with their attendance at the Event.
c. Winners accept their prizes at their own risk and Brooks shall not to the extent permitted by law be responsible for any damages, losses or injuries incurred or suffered for reasons beyond Brooks’ control as a result of winning a prize package or changes to the Event.
d. Prize packages cannot be transferred and there is no cash alternative.
5. The winners
a. The five winners will be chosen at random from all eligible entries received before 11.59pm on [Sunday 23rd August 2015].
a. The five winners will be notified by a private message on Twitter or Facebook (as applicable) after 1pm on [Monday 24th August 2015].
b. The winners must respond to the message within 72 hours of it being sent with the following information: i. name; ii. date of birth; iii. address; iv. contact number; v. email address; vi. affiliated club; vii. estimated finishing time; viii. number of half marathons previously run; ix. emergency contact name and number; x. shoe size; xi. apparel size top; and xii. apparel size bottom. Failure to provide these details within the 72 hours timeframe will result in the prize package being withdrawn and awarded to another entrant selected at random.
c. The Promoters will register the winners for the Event and winners will receive their race entries by post. The winners will receive the remainder of their prize package separately by courier within  days after [Monday 24 August 2015].
d. The names and counties, or Twitter or Facebook user names of the winners may be released in post-competition publicity. Winners may be required to take part in unpaid promotional publicity (including photographs).
e. The decision of Brooks is final and binding on all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.
f. The names of the winners will be available on request for three months after the entry closing date by sending a stamped, addressed envelope to [Brooks Sports LTD, Unit 6 Chanctonfold, Horsham Road, Steyning, BN44 3AA].
