Join Brooks at SXSW for Your Morning Runspiration

**SXSW Run Update**

We’re teaming up with our buddies at RunHaven to bring you the Double Challenge on Sunday (March 15) only! Come out to run with us at 7:30 a.m. and then double up with RunHaven at 9:30 a.m.. Share Instagram proof that you ran at both (think pic-stitch) and we’ll pick three lucky winners to get a free pair of shoes! Entries must use the hashtag #RunHappyHaven. See official rules here.

When the going gets tough, runners get going. It takes a special sort of inspiration to get us moving day after day, and this year at SXSW we’re inviting runners in Austin to celebrate that.

For the third year in a row, we’re going to lace up and log some morning miles with the amazingly creative and inspiring minds of SXSW-goers and other Austin runners, and we want you to join us.

Who: You!

What: Brooks SXSW Morning Runspiration

Where: The corner of E 4th and Neches St., Austin, Texas

When: 7:30 a.m. March 14, 15 and 16

Why: Because burning off beer and queso never felt so good in the morning, and to share the inspiration for why each of us decides to run

We’re serving up more than just miles for these morning runs. To inspire you to get out and run long after SXSW ends, participants will get some sweet swag each morning like T-shirts, drink koozies and more while supplies last.*

Run one morning, run two or run every morning with us.

While we’re only in Austin this March for the Morning Runspiration, we still want to know what inspires you to run, especially early in the morning. Leave us a comment and tell share the reason you get out there.

If you’re joining us in Austin, don’t forget to pack light (we won’t have lockers), dress for the weather and bring a water bottle! Don’t forget to sing up for The Loop newsletter to stay in touch for all your Run Happy news.

*Promotional items will be given out while supplies last and on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • I love being in the city (downtown) early on a weekend morning when everything is fairly quiet and the city is just starting to come to life for the day. As a ‘burbs dweller, seeing Austin on foot this way feels like a special occasion and a peek into a secret view that few Austinites ever see.

We couldn’t agree more. We’re looking forward to quiet streets and beautiful views this weekend.

@stacey_shapiro:disqus We can’t wait. Will we see you all three days?

      • Stacey Shapiro

This year just Saturday, but I’m bringing a bunch of running buddies! See you then! 🙂

  • Robert Woehlke

Do I have to sign up/register for these runs, or can I just show up? I plan on running on Saturday and Sunday.

Great question Robert! You can just show up in the morning ready to run. We look forward to seeing you this week!
