2 QW-K

When you only have seconds to prove yourself, turn every step up to power mode with the aptly named 2 QW-K. A welded TPU forefoot strap, full-length spike plate, and one-piece aerodynamic upper gets you up on your toes and staying there until the tape hits your chest.

The deets:
  • 5.7 oz.
  • Distance: 100m-400m
  • Why you’ll want to wear it: When you get in the blocks, your shoes are the last thing you want to worry about. Clear your head and focus knowing the 2 QW-K is light, aerodynamic and ultra aggressive on the track. And those hot colors are fire!

2 ELMN8

Get the next best thing to spike-adorned feet with the little-to-nothing feel of the 2 ELMN8. The upper is constructed with 3D Fit Print Overlays and featherweight mesh that wrap the foot over a perfectly balanced spike plate. Taking you from the line to your mid-race pace and through the final kick, this middle distance all-star likes to lean into it.

The deets:
  • 4.1 oz.
  • Distance: 800m-Mile
  • Why you’ll want to wear it: Middle distance running hits the in-between spot of sprinting and long distance, and you need a spike to match. Lightweight, sharp and aggressive enough to keep you pushing the pedal to the metal, even as you change gears, the 2 ELMN8 is your spike this season.

Wire 3

The nimble racing flat meets the quick track spike in The Wire 3. Bringing together the smooth ride of a lightweight, foam midsole and the just-right traction of an aggressive outsole, this racer kicks in with what you need, when you need it. Amazing in-shoe comfort, a light and supple 3D Fit Print upper, and embedded spike wells are just a few of the touches that will put you on the podium.

The deets:
  • 3.6 oz.
  • Distance: Mile-10K
  • Why you’ll want to wear it: As a distance runner, you know the importance of finding the right balance of an aggressive spike that will help you when you get on your toes and the comfort and reliability needed for running lots of laps at once. The Wire 3 is the lightweight package you’ve been dreaming of.

Time to set a calendar countdown on your phone for March 2-8. You won’t want to miss out on virtual spike week!

Finally!!! Really good thinking about this event! In my opinion, I think it should be done this week (at the latest)…not next week since all of the track seasons in the nation
    would have started.

In addition to that, I would like to see ALL new track and field shoes be released in January. I guess I never understood why new shoes release AFTER the season starts.

Brooks has a REALLY good thing going for them right now and I would hate to see them minimizing the impact of great shoes.
