Own the Limited Edition T7 Racer – Just Like Chrissie Wellington’s

Custom T7 Racer

Custom T7 Racer for Chrissie Wellington

In honor of triathlete Chrissie Wellington we created a custom T7 Racer for her to wear at the Ford Ironman® World Championship on 10/9/10. Soon you’ll be able to purchase these limited edition shoes for yourself. The ultra lightweight, ultra flexible T7 Racer features a streamlined, asymmetrical upper that wraps the arch securely from start to finish. The “Wellington” edition also includes:

  • Loops on tongue and heel for easy transition from bike to run
  • British flag depicted on the heel counter
  • Sockliner with a special message for Chrissie
  • “War on ALS” inscribed in the heel area

In late October, 200 pairs of the Wellington limited edition will go on sale for $85 on www.brooksrunning.com, more than three months before the standard T7 Racer’s launch on February 1, 2011. For each Wellington edition T7 Racer sold, Brooks will donate $25 to the Blazeman Foundation for ALS, a charity close to Chrissie’s heart.

“The T7 Racer is an amazing shoe!” says Wellington. “I love the way Brooks modified it to suit my specific needs, and that they’ve created a promotion around this shoe that supports a cause that’s important to me.”

When the shoes are available, we’ll announce it on our Facebook page and on Twitter, so stay tuned.

About Sunny
I'm a runner, writer, and traveler who loves running half marathons. I live in Seattle with my much faster husband and two rescue cats. I also have an inexplicable affection for otters.
  1. Ana

I would love to have a T7. I am a truly runner “wanna be” with not much talent but lots of determination. I run or walk to suppot all the causes that i believe in like Autism, adoption, breast cancer. Running is one of the ways that helps me help others.

I was in Chicago for the marathon over the weekend and saw the same shoe on Desiree Davila. They look awesome and would love them, but I would much rather have her shoes than Chrissie’s. She was the 4th fastest AMERICAN WOMEN EVER in the marathon with that time. Way to go DESI, you should be the new BROOKS covergirl.

  3. Mitch Martin

I love that Brooks has gotten in to tri’s, and I once was a runner before and now do tri’s and love the support there also. Just like the others though lets see some more support for DESI she is your number one athlete, and the number 1 runner in AMERICA lets see her on the homepage and her own shoes. 4. Sunny Delaney

We’re big fans of Desi here! She and the entire Hansons-Brooks team were wearing the new T7 Racers — like Chrissie’s, but without the loops, Union Jack, and custom messages. You’ll be able to get a pair of “Desi shoes” when they are released on February 1, 2011.

  5. Donna Dourney

I’m checking the website every day for these. I lost my dad to ALS and directed a 5K race in his memory for the Blazeman Foundation raising $10,000. Bob & MaryAnn Blais are wonderful people and they are truly committed to raising awareness and funding for ALS, a truly horrific disease with no treatment and no cure.
There will be a Nation Cycle for ALS event coming up in February, please look for information and get involved.

  6. Sean Roland

Will there be a tri specific T7 offered? I miss the days when Brooks had the best tri shoe on the market–was that the Brooks Kona offered around 1995 or so?

  7. Mark Blazeman Warrior

Many of us close to the Blazeman Foundation are curious as to when or even if these shoes will be going on sale. Could you please give us SOME information?

  8. Meredith

    Hi everyone:

Rest assured, these shoes are being produced! There was an unexpected delay with the factory so our best estimate on when they will be available to ship is January.

We are currently working on getting these posted to our site to be available for pre-order. I will post back here, and announce on Facebook/Twitter when that is live.

Apologies for the delay – we are also quite eager to see these shoes released!

    Meredith from Brooks
