Run, Watch and Win With Us at the 2014 Brooks PR Invite

Spike up, runners! Brooks is taking a track meet known for stacked races, PR’s and breaking records and make it even faster.

The 2014 Brooks PR Invitational moves outdoors this year and captures the perfect combination of the deepest, most competitive fields and the end of the season peak! On June 21, 130 of the country’s fastest high school runners will toe the line at Renton Memorial Stadium to go for broke in a field of their most competitive peers to set the track on fire with PR’s and maybe even a few records along the way.

The Gig Harbor boys 4 x mile relay team kicks off the meet with a crack at the national record alongside some of the area’s most competitive distance squads.

Standout miler Alexa Efraimson enters the PR Invite with a fresh American Record in the outdoor 1,600-meter run set at the Washington State Meet. She ran 4:33 in front of a packed stadium to claim the win and solidify her spot on the line at the PR Invite alongside runners like Anna Maxwell and Devin Clark.

The boys sprints will again be electric. Alabama Hurdler Marlon Humphrey returns to Seattle for his third showing at the PR Invite. Humphrey will look to claim the golden spike in the 110-meter high hurdles.

With the fastest of the fastest runners in the nation all on one track, you’ve got to be asking how you can get a piece of the action.

If You’re in the Northwest, Come to the Meet!

That’s right! Come watch it in person. There’s nothing quite like a summer afternoon full of the most outrageous races of the year. Doors open at noon and the first event starts at 1:30 p.m. Get there early, though! The Brooks Beasts are showcasing their very last workout before they head to the USATF Outdoor Championships. Free T-shirts and swag to the first 1,000 people to get to the stadium. In addition, singer Hollis (featured on Macklemore’s “White Walls”) will perform at the meet.
