Four Ways to Cheer Brooks Athletes at the US Olympic Marathon Trials in Houston

Marathon Trials

Guess Desi's finishing time and you could win a cheer package signed by the marathon champion herself!

Join Brooks in Houston and online to cheer our athletes Desiree Davila, Mike Morgan, Amy Hastings and all our other Brooks runners competing at the Houston Olympic Marathon Trials on January 14th. Here are four ways you can get involved and get closer to the action leading up to the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

1. Guess Desi’s Time Contest

This past April at the Boston Marathon, Desiree Davila set the fastest women’s qualifying time for the 2012 US Olympic Marathon Trials of  2:22:38.  What will Desi run in Houston? Enter your guess below for the chance to win a Brooks  Houston trials cheer package signed by Desi herself!

The winner will be selected from the fan who submits the time closest to Desi’s finish at the trials without going over. In the event of multiple correct guesses, Brooks will select the winner. Please use the hour, minute, second 0:00:00 format. Contest ends 1/14 at 12:00 a.m. PST. US-residents only.

2. Join Brooks’ Cheering Section in Houston on Saturday

Join Brooks in Houston for Food, Cheer & Run Happy

Join Brooks in Houston on 1/14 from 6:30 a.m. - 11 a.m. for food, cheer & Run Happy!

You’re invited! On January 14, come see history being made. Join Brooks on Lamar Street between La Branch and Austin streets (map)  in Houston to catch all the Trials action in the ultimate cheering section. From our vantage point, we’ll see the runners pass by four times! To get any closer, you’d have to run the course yourself.

Even better, we’re bringing a little slice of Seattle with free-flowing coffee plus food, beverages, and swag. The party starts on Saturday 1/14 at 6:30 a.m. and lasts until 11 a.m. We hope to see you there!

3. Follow @brooksrunning for Live-Tweets from Houston

We will be live-tweeting on race day so follow Brooks on Twitter for updates from the course. Watch our feed for race splits, photos and updates on who is headed to London 2012 Olympic Games.

4. Cheer Online #RunBrooks
