What sold-out event combines parachuting Santa’s, racing in stilettos, run-through wedding ceremonies, and Elvis? The answer: the Las Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon! On December 4, thousands of runners will toe the starting line of the Las Vegas Rock ‘n’ Roll marathon and race down the Vegas strip at night.
Cavalcade of Curiosities & Race Expo
Brooks is not missing out on the party. Not only will the Brooks Cavalcade of Curiosities be at the race expo to entertain, but we will also have our fantastic Brooks apparel and our full line of shoes for sale. We hope you come on by on Friday or Saturday to try on some gear and enter our contests for the chance to win Brooks prizes.
The Bachelor’s Jason & Molly Mesnick
The Bachelor stars Molly and Jason Mesnick. Check out our past blog posts to read about how Molly and Jason trained with Brooks over the past 10 weeks. They are aiming to set new half-marathon personal records on the Vegas course. Will you set a new PR too?
Besides the full- and half-marathon races, race coordinator, Competitor, is hosting a Great Santa Run 5k and Kris Kringle Jingle mile run on December 3. The goal of the race is to break the record for the most Santas in a run. This race also includes entertainment by Terry Fator and parachuting Santas.
Race in Stilettos
If you want to see high heels kicking up dust you can watch, or participate in, the Stiletto Dash. During this 50 meter race through The Palazzo Las Vegas casino, 500 individuals will sacrifice their soles for charity and a grand prize of $5,000.
Run with Elvis
Similar to the santas, a group of Elvi (runners in Elvis attire) will attempt to break the record for the largest group of Running Elvi in history. Just in case the Santas and Elvi do not provide enough entertainment, there is a run-through wedding ceremony to watch—or participate in. the Run Thru Wedding Ceremony performs three-minute ceremonies two miles into the half-marathon course. So just in case you wanted to tie the knot without losing sight of your PR the Run Thru Wedding Ceremony has you covered.
