Brooks PureConnect Awarded Runner’s World Best Debut

PureConnect Awarded "Best Debut" by Runner's World

PureConnect Awarded “Best Debut” by Runner’s World

Try on a pair of PureConect running shoes and you will immediately know that these shoes are different from anything you’ve ever run in before. The shoe fits snuggly around your foot and is extremely lightweight, and yet unlike other lightweight shoes, you can still feel the support and cushioning it provides.

We are proud to report that the PureConnect is so impressive that it is being noticed by the worldwide authority on running: Runner’s World. Earlier this month, the PureConnect was awarded “Best Debut” by Runner’s World. The Runner’s World December Winter Shoe Guide praises the PureConnect for being lightweight and having a snug fit. The Runner’s World review stated, “This new shoe strikes a balance between barefoot-inspired minimalism and cushioning-required training…it has a lightweight, barely there feel yet is substantive enough to handle long tempo runs.” We agree! Checkout the video review below.

For runners who are interested in the techy side of the shoe, you will be pleased to know that the PureConnect was also praised for its technology. While it is made of extremely lightweight material, it still has an extended Toe Flex for increased flexibility, a Nav Band for a close-to-the-foot fit, and a rounded heel that aligns the runner’s center of gravity for optimal spring.

The next time you’re near a shoe store try slipping your foot into the PureConnect and you’ll immediately come to the same conclusion as Runner’s World—there’s something special about this shoe.

The Brooks Adrenaline GTS 12 was also reviewed by Runner’s World, and was featured as one of six stability shoes included in the Winter Shoe Guide. The Adrenaline GTS 12 now includes more mesh for breathability, a friction-resistance heel, and a caterpillar crash pad that encompasses more strides. One wear tester stated that the shoe has a “very comfortable upper with great heel and forefoot cushioning,” while another commented that the shoe performed well on both the road and track.

Have you run in the PureConnect or Adrenaline GTS 12? How does it feel for you?

I’m flat footed, slightly overpronate, and am a mid foot striker. Could I use these shoes as my racers for 10ks and half-marathoners? Or would they be to “cushiony” to race in?
